ethernet connection

We are having problems getting our ethernet connection working since we upgraded to windows 7. Our 6 year old VF-4 wokes with no problems and our VF-9 that is only a few months old will not work at all since we upgraded to windows 7. One would think the problem would be just the opposite of what we are having but that is not the case. Has anyone else had a problem with the newer mills working with the ethernet connection. We are waiting for an answer from Haas so i thought i would check here to see if anyone may have an answer before they do.

We have the same problem. Windows7 does not see haas in the network neighbourhood, windows xp does...

We have the same problem. No network connection to 2009 Haas VF3 with Windows 7.

We now have ours working. Use these steps and it should work for you as well. I forgot to mention that we did not figure this out on our own and found these steps somewhere online. It may have been here somewhere.

1. Open Control panel
2. Open Administrative tools
3. Double click Local Security policy
4. Double click Local policies
5. Select Security Options
6. Search for "Network security: LAN Manager authentication level" double click it, select from pulldown menu "send LM & NTLM responses"
