I have an old bridgeport 4th axis, and a 2000 vf-8 with the fourth axis option wired up for a brush motor. I was wondering if it was possible to wire up the servo to the fourth axis wiring on the haas. The servo on the rotary has a 16 pin connector, where the haas has a 17 pin. i've heard of the haas cable adaptor from 17 pin to 14 pin but not a 16 to 17. Any ideas? |

| I could be wrong but I think it would only work if you had a bridgeport control box too (if bridgeport do one). I would suggest you sell your 4th axis and buy a used Haas one instead - you will probably find some on e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/97-HAAS-HRT160...item2306e6ca47 This one has a rotary control box which you don't really need - but i'm sure you could find one without the control box which would be cheaper! Hope this helps. |
