    compensation problem

    I am using Gibbscam to program our Haas TM3, for some reason i get an alarm when i use compensation. i have to reprogram if i want my cutter to be smaller or bigger. can you help?

    You can't comp to a smaller radius than the cutter you are using. If you are trying to machine a .25" radius, your cutter radius offset in the control can't be any larger than .25", otherwise the control will error-out.

    Well, try as I might, I can't figure out what your problem is. My ESP must not be working today.

    I have an idea. Why not post the section of the code that's giving you the problem here so we can see it. It might also be helpful to know what alarm you are getting, and what value you have stored in your diameter offset.
