    Bar feeder alarm 463

    Hi,

    My name is Rui Costa.
I´m having a problem whith my haas TL 25 and a bar feeder 300.

The machine was working well until by the end of the day, when it was exchanging a bar, and it gave the alarm 463. V over travel range.
I have tried everything and it still gives this alarm. What could it be?

    a guess

Since you were running all day without problems could it be you bar length is too long? I note the barfeeder can cut a set amount of material in the settings and if it is exceeded I have noticed it wants a adjustment. I would review what it was doing when it was working verses now. Something has changed and you may be surprised by what you find by just stepping back sometimes and saying MMM. Machines can behave like children sometimes. Oh it did what I told it do do right. Good luck to you and there are some experts on this barfeeder who post regularly on this site. Haas has a good product demonstrated in the barfeeder 300. I do not use ours often but would like to and recieving orders that would need it is the only holdup. Good luck.

At what point in the bar loading cycle was it at when it alarmed out. Was it before or after it probed the bar length?

    Bar Feeder

    Rui,

Measure that bar that it alarmed out on. Then check the "Longest Bar" setting on the servo bar page in your control. Chances are, it is just a bit longer then your max bar length setting to give that alarm.

If the bar is shorter...it may be the limit switch used to check length...
but I kind of doubt that since it was running all day.
