I guess you are concerned because you may lack experience with Haas Mills? If so you need not worry because I have found Haas Mills a fine machine. It is different than a Mazak but there are always the similarities of CNC's that are basic to all machines. In my case I was worried about changing from running Mazaks to Haas but people were considerate of me if I asked for help and did a good job as a worker. I did have gcode experience with Mazaks and it helped me in the change. If you can make your way through using these machines and the Gcode type programming it makes you much more marketable. Your strength will be your skill as a machinist which encompasses much more than simply pushing a button. When I ran production on Mazaks even though it was load a program load and teach all tools and wpcs I still could see what processes were done in what order and using what tools. Many think you learn nothing just running production but I learned how experts process the making of a part and the discipline of staying alert to the machine and the dimensions of the parts made me much more aware of what quality work I produce. It had to be right and I still had to remain hyper vigilent in my job. Staying focused under these conditions sharpened my skill of having excellent attention to detail. I hope this helps I apologize for rambling a bit too long. Good luck at the new job and be grateful you have someone who wants to have you.
