tl1 lathe

Is this a good lathe for semi production of parts? I am looking to get into the cnc field. I have experience with enco mini cnc lathes. I know how to write gcode programs. How is this machine on cutting parts off and everything? Does it have collant? Do you have to manually change the tools?

thanks
-garrett

also if you have one what did you pay for it out the door? I see 19k but is that with all the options and everything?

and another thing I noticed it had a spindle speed of 1800 that is pretty slow I think... when I did machining on the enco it was more like 2500 but manual machine was well under 1800... any opinions on this?

coolant is yes but its extra. along with tail stock, steady rest, floppy and anything else they can get away with. you must manual chang tools and direct coolant each time. parting has been fine but I hate doing it. I do it for washers thats it parts can fly real quik. power for stainles and ti ?? well I just made 2 stainless pieces and I couldnt drill them with the 2 " spade drill from the tail stock. stalled and just rubbed. but it machined it no prob I wasnt hogging but you dont need to with cnc. I love mine
