| tool presetter reset I just replaced the presetter probe, this time myself, instead of getting a service call, and have no clue how to re-set "Setting 59 and 60" for the X values. Any Ideas ??? Haas SL 30..... Thanks Chris |

| tool pre setter Take a cut with a tool and set the offset manually using x offset measure. Write down the offset. Set the tool in X using the pre setter. Write that number down. Calculate the difference between the two numbers. Add or subtract that increment to the appropriate parameter setting. Set the tool in X again using the pre setter. Repeat the addition/subtraction of the increments until it's within .0002/.0004 of what you calculated manually. Remember that it won't get you closer that +/-.002 realistically, so if you've got a close tolerance back your tool off and re-size. Repeat the process for a boring bar. |
