Need Help!- HAAS 2000 sl-20 lathe small g error

Just looking for some help with our 2000 year HAAS sl-20 lathe.. Seems off an on our screen shows the small letter( g) on the screen, now this can be reset to get rid of it , but other times it fills the control screen with these small g's, and other times the rest and other buttons wont work at all for a certain period of time.. just know this is not a keyboard error.

I have been told that it's a processor problem and would be about 2500$ to fix,,,, would any one have any idea how to fix this cheaper,, thanks

Yes, had the same thing a couple years ago. First tried the keyboard. Nope. It ended up being the processor. Was intermitent for a while. Then, no mas. Good luck.
