Hi to all, I have a problem with the Tool Indexing of our Haas SL-10 lathe machine. The tool position is not in the center of the spindle on all the 12-index tool positions by about 5mm. The index is controlled by a servo motor so we are trying to locate and identify what is the parameter number for this adjustment. We have no parameter list so please anyone who can help me with this problem.. Thanks.. |

| If you are off by 5mm when the turret is locked I do not think it is a parameter problem. It sounda like the machine has been crashed and the turret has moved on the locking plate. Near the center of the turret there is a circle of bolts that will probably have to be loosened so the turret can be moved into alignment and then re-tightened. If you just change a parameter what might happen is the turret will stop without the locking dogs aligned and when it tries to lock something could get broken. If you search through the threads in b oth the Haas Lathes and Haas Mills you will probably find something about re-aligning the turret. It has been mentioned before but I cannot remember when.
