I have an SL30 with tool pre-setter. I have a Jacobs chuck mounted into a round toolholder on the outside of the turret. I am having trouble setting the offsets to get the center of the drill bit to X 0.0 I'm sure the answer is obvious, but right now, my brain won't let me see it. Any help would be greatlly appriciated. thanks in advance Chris |

| I know I'm answering an old post, just giving some info I know. Touch your drill to the tool pre-setter in the x axis and then you have to offset the radius/diameter of the drill. Our machine is set up that x axis is always in diameter, so you have to change your drill offset by twice the radius, or the drill diameter. Or if your machine is in radius, the tool pre-setter tells you where the outside of the drill is, then offset that number by the radius of your tool. |
