Hello everyone- I have a relatively new SL-20 & servo bar feeder 300. Recently, we started running a bunch of tubing. The problem is that we need to make a plug for each tube size then weld it in & grind back. Has anyone worked with tubing and what was your solution for feeding? Thanks- Jeff |

| When running tubing, I just turn a piece of delrin or nylon and push it in the hole. Make sure the diameter getting pushed in the hole is a couple thousandths bigger than the hole. I usually leave a 1/4 inch or so that is just under the OD of the tube out the back. That makes a positive stop for the plug so that it won't push through the tube. This works great on our SL-10. Make a couple of them so that when the first tube is done it can load the next without having to stop the machine to push the plug into the next tube. Good luck! Gizmo |

Thanks Gizmo- You know we had been using a steel version of what you described, but since we were flaring the tube oversize, we would actually tack them in. If only I would have gone to my composite bin before the steel one....Thanks for the insight, I'm gonna load a bar of nylon this morning and try her out. Fallsfilter Guy |
