Any help with visual quickcode on my Haas tL1 lathe? Having trouble setting my x & z for I.D work. Not sure what to punch in when touching off the z face. Also when asked to set my x and give the diameter of the hole the machine does not go to the right spot. When setting x & z what should be typed in to set the offset. Any help would be great. |

| How old is the machine (month, year on the build plate)? It matters because they have a number of software versions. Your version of the Intuitive Programming Screens (IPS) will either use work offsets or not. If you have the original IPS software that didn't use work offsets, the sales video on the Haas website should get you familiar. Even if you have a later one, that video will help (though it will be slightly different). It's located here: http://www.haascnc.com/news_videos.asp#news And this is the video you're looking for: http://www.haascnc.com/news/new_file...om%20Lathe.wmv

When I'm at the quickcode screen and try to zero the z face should there be data in the box? From the home position to the part is like -21 or so should this number show up in the z face box? Seems this box always shows zero. When I zero the x off the I.D and enter that data + the hole size the machine goes to the wrong spot. Thanks for the help. |

| Hmmm...wait a minute. I may have misunderstood/misguided you: Are you trying to use the Intuitive Programming Screens (with the tabbed menus & graphic prompts), Quick Code (white screen, all text interface) or Visual Quick Code (black screen with colored graphics)? Three different places, three different solutions.
