I need to know how to get a tool setter to work with the 24" chuck. If possible, can you send me the contact of you Haas dealer, I would like to ask him what our options are.

The probe is actually made by Renishaw (Sp?), Cinci5 was thinking of a different machine.

It is mainly the tool setter that i am worried about. I will contact the Haas supplier and ask of this issue. Thanks.

Hey Ted, We just bought a SL-40L. I trying to lay it out in our plant. Could you tell me if the chip conveyor comes out form the side of the machine or the front. We want to put it against a wall but I'm not sure that the conveyor will be accessible for future repair. Thanks, Paul

It comes out the end, we had the same problem after installed Haas offered to remake sheet metal and install it for it to come out front but never got installed. Now the plant is closing ( American Axle Forge ) so will probably never get installed.
