alarm 106 on sl10

After powering up my sl10 this morning when pressing power up/restart the turret starts to move but then this alarm comes on. A SERVO ERROR TOO LARGE. Im assuming this is the motor for the turret. Is this repairable or will it be a new motor which im guess is going to be expensive?! The machine hasnt been getting a lot of use recently so could this be the cause?

Just curious... Did you try shutting off the machine and powering up again? I get that once in a while on all of our Haas machines, (SL-10, Mini Mill, VF2SS), for one axis or another. Normally, I power off the machine and power it up again, and it seems to fix the problem.

If this does not work for you, let us know and I am sure someone else on here may be able to point you in the right direction.

yes i did try this a couple of times but i didnt want to keep trying incase it damaged the motor. I called haas who told me to check the pipes to the piston for a leak but they were fine. I turned off and on again and it worked. Powered up this morning and it was ok. I had only been running a spindle warm up program so i will now use a test program that uses all the motors.
