    ST 20 - C axis unclamp

We have a new ST 20 and we are not familiar with using the live tooling. We wrote a program to drill 4 holes, each ay 90 deg. on the face of the part. We are using a G83 canned cycle. In the start up section of the program we give it an m154 to engage the c axis. However, when the program comes to the Drilling cycle, it disengages it.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks, Andrew

It might be disengaging the C axis because G83 is a canned cycle meant only to be used with a rotating spindle and stationary tool (I don't know this for certain but it's my guess). I thought I read there was a separate list of canned cycles for live tooling going into the face of the part but I briefly looked in the manual and couldn't find it...maybe I'm missing it...

Parameter 315 bit 1 NO SPIND CAN CYCLE:
Set this to 1 to be able to use live tools.
