    Bar Feed Interface

Does anyone know how easy it is to fit a barfeed interface to a SL20. I have been offered a three year old Haas Barfeed and the owner wants to remove the interface from his SL20 and I am looking to fit it to mine

    Used bar-feeder

Be careful on the age of the barfeeder.
There were several different versions and your lathe may not work with what you found.
Older bar-feeders came with a standalone servo control box in the bar-feeder.
The newer ones use brushless motors and the CNC drive the bar-feeder motor directly.
If your lathe is already brushless, that's the easiest way to go.
If the old bar-feeder comes with lots of docs, this might work.
Otherwise you may need to talk to your dealer.

Thanks for that, the machine I am putting it on is only just over a year old and one of the last SL20 made, the feeder was made in 2007 so hopefully it should not be a problem
