    Haas Machine Data Collect

Has anyone used the Machine Data Collect feature on the Haas control? I'm a total newbie to machine monitoring and am looking for some guidance on how to use this feature. The book describes the command line that needs to be sent to the machine, but I'm stuck at how to get the ASCII characters that it requires. If someone with experience with this could steer me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the file. It gives a lot more information than my book did.

What program are people using on the PC side to handle this data colection? I imagine that I'm going to need something more than my current setup which is just a simple DNC program.
