    g83 side drilling on a sl40

    how can i get this to work?i can only get it to work in z not x.the holes are 90 deg to the face.i can write it all out manually bot cant get the cycle to work.

    I know that on a FANUC, there is a parameter for "Z axis is always the drilling axis" or not. Never touched a HAAS, hope I never have to.

    G83 will not work on a cross hole on a Haas. You will have to write it out long hand or write a sub routine. Sorry.
