Active program can't delete? Reset call up another program then try delete it again see if it work.
This is the second time I have had this happen. After copying a section of code to the clipboard & then pasting it to another program it pastes as gibberish & I get a 212 alarm. You then are directed to delete all programs & reload programs from your back ups. BUT I can not delete the last program because it is the "active" program. I don't remember how I got around that last time. HAAS was no help Friday but the service tech (whom I know personally) said we need a software upgrade. Anyone with a similar issue?
thanks

The best way to learn is trial error.
Haas says you have to delete ALL programs to get red of the alarm. that is the problem last (only) program is going to be active & i can not delete it. Hopfully the HFO will have my tech there at 8 tomorrow & he will do the software upgrade & that will stop the problem. I'm just wondering if other people have had this problem....
Kind of my bad....I didn't delete the o9000 files (after backing up of course). Turn off setting 23 to see them. You are left with a o00000 file that is a default file.....then you reload the o9000 files you backed up & then your part programs as needed. A different tech came & I got a little different perspective on things than I was led to believe by my "buddy" (whom by the way I taught how to run a HAAS at his prior work place). WHY it happened is still a mystery. The 1st time was fixed over the phone with the app guy at the HFO & not documented with HAAS. This time it is documented & the tech called Cal. so if this is a software issue (which I believe it is) HAAS can deal with it. I don't like the way I (we) got blown off by the app's guy @ the HFO. This could have been done over the phone if they had called back Friday. but then haas home office would not be in the loop. Back up running much needed parts. Boss happy again.

Yes the Haas controller does do some mysterious things. Have a look at these two threads:
Programs duplicated in controller????
ALARMS 250 and 251
I have found it is best to use the Copy/Paste function very laboriously and make sure you are only hitting one key at a time, fat fingers not allowed.![]()
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.
