I didnt have any failure on this machine before, so i dont have any maintenance manualrs, diagrams, software or any of those, only the operator manual. Dos anyone know how to change the parameters? i need to program it from the rs232? when it start up and show the alarms it shut down after 15 seconds, how do i stop it?

sounds like your battery died what is in setting 26 of your machine if the serial # is not correct you need to reload your pars and settings etc.
The cnc doesn't have warranty anymore, i also think my problem is the lost of the parameters, but how do i program them again? can i program from the operator panel or do i need to connect the laptop from behind the machine? were can i check the parameter 26?
As you can see, i need step by step help, because this machine never fail me again.
Thank you

This brings up a good point. Can someone make a backup from the Haas control to the floppy?
yes back up copys can be made when we had our machines installed we asked the tech if he could make us a copy of the machine parameters on to floppy he did hopefully we will never need them
the parameters should be backed up on a floppy that is inside of the manual or inside of the control cabinet. It sounds like the battery on your processor is going bad.
I have two procedures for backing up Parameters and Settings; the key sequence is:
LIST
PAR (Now F2 and F3 should be visible at the bottom of the screen)
Type the serial number followed by .PAR
F2
Same procedure for Settings just use serial#.SET
You don't have to use the serial number but it is a good identifier.
The other procedure saves everything with the following key sequence:
LIST PROG
END
ALARMS
Type DEBUG
WRITE
POSIT
PAGE UP until you see POS-RAW DAT
Type Serial #
F2
This should save everything.
