Your question is akin to asking, "How long is a piece of string?". You need a lot more detail. A print of your part and a description or picture of your setup would be a great place to start.
Hi everyone. My first post so bare with me.
I am trying to figure out how to program my HA5C rotary indexer to machine a helix or spiral if you will.
This is direct 4th axis without the brushless box. I was told by Haas that's its not needed cause its direct.
I don't even know where or how to begin to manual input data through the HAAS control.
What information do I need to get to create the program?
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks much
Pete

haha yeah I understand here is a pic
the OD is 3.500 in. The length of the ramp is 3.599. The angle is 30 degrees.
its a simple program up to the point of cutting the ramp and indexing it 120 degrees
Also Iv tried to use solid works turn/mill feature and I also have a old version of MC V9.1 that I tried the 4th axis option with no success.
Thank you for any help
Pete
