Default Alarm 143 Spindle orientation lost

I have an 09 VF1 and this morning when I started it up, the carousel moved over and locked up giving me a 143 alarm. I've tried powering everything down but the spindle is still orienting to the wrong spot and can't do a tool change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, there's a very good chance your spindle encoder belt is worn and stretched if this is a belt style encoder. Also the encoder could be going bad. Has the encoder or belts been changed recently? You can adjust parameter 257 to dial it in.
