    No TSC on this one.

Any things I should take care of while I have the motor covers off?

On my Super Mini Mill, I removed the stock coolant routing (18 feet long), and made a distribution block mounted on the inside of the enclosure (back wall) just up from the coolant pump. I have 3 circuits and ball valves on it -- one to the programmable nozzle, one to the Loc-Line fixed nozzle, and one with a quick disconnect for a wash-down hose.

End result is that the lines are all very short, and nothing is routed internally through places it can't be seen. It's worked out well for me so far.

Oh, fwiw: I'm running cutting oil in my machine, not water-soluble coolant.

I'm still coming to grips with coolant everywhere. I cant imagine machine oil. I imagine it leaves a nice finish though, Can you use the same pump?

So, now that my auger chute does not leak, is this where I should be placing my coolant tank? Or does it not really matter? Trying to figure out the original intention here? Maybe I should RTFM but I dont think my manual really discusses it.

Different setup than my Mini Mill -- coolant tank is part of the base of the machine on mine.

The cutting oil I'm using is *very* light -- Motorex SwissCut NX-F, in the lightest weight. Yes, same pump. Comes out of the coolant nozzle similarly to water-soluble. No smell, no maintenance, no evaporation.

That's interesting, what are the down sides? Cost?

It's expensive, and of course you are getting finished parts that are oily (although this particular oil is quite thin so most of it is off runs off the part quickly).

For me (no real production, prototype style parts or short runs, doing a lot of playing on the machine), it's ideal. I don't like maintaining coolant.

No extra filters or anything needed?

No extra filter yet, but I'll probably be installing a canister/sock-filter setup soon.

I can't see oil working for plastic parts very well. Synthetic coolant isn't too bad maintenance wise. I recently put a MistAway on my machine though, I got tired of breathing coolant vapor.

No doubt -- I personally only use air blast when cutting plastic.
