Looking for a HAAS EC 400
I'm looking for a HAAS horizontal. I have a HAAS brochure for an EC 400. As far as Horizontal VMC's go, their site only lists the EC 1600 and EC 1600ZT on it and its just too big for what I need. I was just wondering if they quit selling the EC 400 or what..? If they did quit selling the EC 400, why?
If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know...

My HFO told me at the start of the year that they were going to stop making the EC-400 and had all ready stopped the EC-300 .. sounded like they were going to come out with new 400 size machine ..... there has been some on ebay REALLY cheap .
but seeing that they used the same spindle motor on them as my VF4SS I would not buy one ,,, haas rates there HP like a shop vac

In addition to the 300, there was also an EC-500 and EC-630, which were phased out over the last couple years. I was also wondering if they planned to re-design the platform...

I have an older Haas HS1 Horizontal and a EC400.. they are basically just a VF1 on its back with a pallet changer. I use the crap out of the HS1 and its been great for the $22k we paid for it BUT If you want a REAL horizontal, look at Doosan or Mori.
The EC is a step up from the HS, but its still just a Vertical on its back.
