Default G71 ID Turn Cycle On TL-1 Lathe

    Hello all,

I am new to this forum, but I can't thik of a better place to ask this question. I am having an issue with turning an ID profile on a Haas TL-1 toolroom lathe. The lathe does not have a turret (not a slant bed), just a tool post. My ID cycle keeps trying to feed into the X- side of the part. My code looks like this:

    G00 X1. Z0.1
    G71 U0.02 R0.03
    G71 P10 Q11 U-0.02 W0.01 F0.01
    N10 G00 X3.
    G01 Z-0.125
    X2.5
    Z-0.125
    X2.
    Z-0.125
    X1.5
    Z-0.125
    X1.
    Z-0.125
    N11 X1.

The OD cycles behave normally, but this ID cycle has me stumped. Thanks for any help.

Try that. You shouldn't need both lines. I don't see anything obvious in your code that would make it go past X0.
I ran a TL 1 for about five years. Pretty good little machine really. And easy to program.

    I've never seen a 2-block Fanuc G71 cycle used on a Haas.

Try this, and see if the problem still exists:

    G00 X1. Z0.1
    G71 P10 Q11 U-0.02 W0.01 D0.02 F0.01
    N10 G00 X3.
    G01 Z-0.125
    N11 X1.
