DFX is not imported correctly...

I am new for CNC and CAD...

I chose DesignCAD 3D Ver. 14 --> MeshCAM -->TurboCNC.
I created sample CAD and exported as DFX file. (Ver. 14).
But as you see, MeshCAM retrieved only one polygon.

Is there any way to make this set work?
What's wrong? DesignCAD export funtionality or simply the DFX file is not compatible with MeshCAM ?

Help me...

Meshcam doesn't support dxf files,,, But it will do stl files. If you can draw solids in designcad, than export as a stl file, Meshcam will work.

Unzip this,,,, it was your file convertedt ot a solid in Acad 14.1, and then exported as a stl file. it will work in meshcam.

If you send me the file I'd be happy to look at it but in general DXF files are fine if you only output 3dFaces- meshes and 2d elements cannot be read by MeshCAM.

Try exploding before you save as .dxf. Your drawing contains meshes, which are really just a series of 3D faces. Usually exploding will work. It does in AutoCAD. THis is what you should end up with.

Robert. Any chances of adding Mesh support for .dxf import? It would probably eliminate the user having to explode meshes all the time.

Robert
I have already attached the DFX file in my first one.
Do I have to use "AccuTrans 3D" to convert from DFX which is not compatible with MeshCAM to STL?

As my previous post said, try exploding before you export as .dxf. It should work.

Are you creating the object with solids in DesignCAD?

That's probably why the exploding doesnt work. What other file types can you export and import? Can you export .3ds, maybe, and import it back in?
