Post New 3d CAM Software

First let me apologize if this is not appropriate for this forum; I figured that the people around here would be interested.

I've been writing a program, MeshCAM, to convert Bitmap images and STL files into 3d toolpaths. I've got my first beta done, and I would like to offer it up to the people here.

If you'd like to play with it go to www.robgrz.com . Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Robert

Looks nice and easy for home users, and if you can hit your proposed $100 asking price for the finnished version, then it'll be a bargain!

Cool

Kong hit the nail on the head.
If thats the asking price whoever buys is getting a deal.
Not a bad start at all.
Great job.

It's been a while, but I just uploaded Beta 3 of my program, MeshCAM. Lots of changes including all new toolpath generation code. The program seems to be stable, I've been using it at work for about a couple of months now with good results. If you try it out then PLEASE give me some feedback on what you like or don't like. http://www.robgrz.com

Thanks,
Robert

Hi Rob,

I have a small 3 axis router and do OK with 2 1/2D work but don't have a clue about 3D CAD/CAM/CNC yet. Am I correct that your new program creates code from a .bmp? Does it load in a .bmp image and then the user sets a depth to make a "poor man's" 3D part?

If so I'd like to try your program....I downloaded it but WinZip asks for a password which I don't have. Am I doing something wrong or what?

Thanks for looking!
