I pulled the trigger and bought Meshcam.
I worked up a curved molding stl in solidworks and ran it through Meshcam and the result looks very promising.
Need to get the Multicam PP working now. I posted on the forum at the Meshcam website.
My Multicam MG has servo motors and a dedicated DSP control and I'm hoping I can cut even faster and smoother with arc-fit code, although to be honest I still haven't bumped into the limits of the H-board controller yet. Those FPGA's are wicked fast.
My main machine: Multicam MG series (MG101) with original Extratech H971 controller, Minarik servo motors, Electro-Craft BRU-series drives, 4KW Colombo. Let's talk Multicam!
Be sure to post a photo or two.
I just posted the following int he support fourm:
I would start with the Mach 3 post and change the following line:
FORMAT = [Z|#|Z|1.3]
FORMAT = [Z|#|Z|1.3|-1.0]
That will flip the sign of all of the Z values
