| Actually, by thinking thru this I realized there is a way to do it even with parallel port and VSDEPI. By loading attached configuration to drive, home switch pin function will change so that it will display "Servo ready" status. In other words, parallel port pin (home switch pin) goes logic 1 after homing is done and drive is ready to accept input. Notice: the pin may be in wrong state for a fraction of a second at power-up before drive firmware takes control of it. However, I'm not sure how to configure Mach to take any advantage of this signal. If someone gives it a try, please let us know how it worked To undo this change, just load original VSDEPI config .drc to drive. Output pin function can be changed also from General settings->User I/O tab. Last edited by Xerxes; 01-22-2009 at 05:04 AM. |

| I think it might require a macro using one of the generic inputs. I think you will need some way to determine that all of the drives are ready, maybe a 3-4 input and gate and then the mach macro will know that all axes are good and do whatever (zero axes, go to work offset position, etc.) Matt |
