Is VSD suitable for this BL AC Servos?

Hello everyone!!

Recently I bought a couple of brusless AC servomotors, and I'm wondering if this motors can be used with a VSD servo drive?

This motors are a "SBL4 0530-25-560/TPS1" model, you can look the Technical Data, on this link
--- http://www.motec.co.uk/motors_es-SBL.htm ----
Also I added an attachment to this thread with a PDF with the servo data.

This servos have a resolver SinCos feedback, and if I'm not wrong, the VSD can't work with this kind of feedback, right?
But if I replace the resolver with an encoder (already opened the back of the servo and it can be easily done) , it can be used with VSD?

Thanks in advance

PD. Also Servo NamePlate info in an attached gif

Buy me a Beer?

These appear to be 560v motors?

Yes, they are very high voltage motors. However, it can be run at any lower voltage too, but it will limit the maximum obtainable speed. You probably would get speeds up to around 1200-1700 rpm with 200VDC supply.

Hi!!

Thanks Xerxes for your answer, but what about the Resolver to Encoder change?, no problem with that?

Also what about the torque? It also get reduced, using a lower voltage?

Thanks in advance!!

Sure it works if encoder is installed. Torque is proportional to current, so there is no reduction in that.
