Is there a pin out for the USB cable?

The programing cable that comes with the VSD-A? There is no circuitry on it, so it would have to be direct-through wiring. As for as what pins are what, A quick test with an ohm meter would tell all.

Well that is where the catch is. My drives did not come with a cable.

USB cables came along with Rev2 drives but they work with Rev1 too.

If you wish to build adapter your self, here are the shematics. The cable itself is FTDI TTL-232R (3.3 or 5V) which can be found from Mouser for example. It's not just plain cable, it has circuity molded in connector.
