    Fanuc servo

Is there a spec sheet for details on the Granite drives?
What is the max size servo? As I believe it will operate Fanuc RedCap motors?
But most Fanuc are above 1kw.
Do they operate with a +-10vdc analogue?

    Hi Al,

This is cut'n'paste from Granite Devices web-site.
DC bus supply voltage 24-200 Vdc

    Peak output current 15.0 A (¹

    Maximum stall current 10.0 A (¹
Field oriented flux vector control for higher bandwidth
    Position, velocity and torque modes

Supported motors: permanent magnet DC, AC (sinusoidal)
AC servo motor phasing without hall sensors

Quadrature encoder feedback (differential line outputs)
Command inputs: step/direction pulses and serial commands via SPI bus

    Fully optoisolated command I/O
    Firmware field upgrades
    PC software based tuning
Arbitrary ratio input command scaling and gearing

Trajectory planner with tunable velocity/acceleration limits
    Acceleration and velocity feedforwards
    Soft recovery from following error
Separate supply terminals for logic and high voltage
No loss of position on high voltage outage

Typical efficiency of 95% at full power
There's also a manual and other documentation available for download. Analog command isn't mentioned anywhere, "only" Step/Dir, PWM and SPI.

    Thanks Henrik!

Fanucs work fine if there is normal differential output encoder signals available. Some limitations in torque/speed may apply if motor current/voltage is beyond VSD-A rating.

Analog input is not present in VSD-A but will be in VSD-E.
