Hey guys, I received my drives last week and am finally able to start doing the work to impliment them. I can't wait to toss these steppers.. A couple questions for those who've recieved these. Does anyone have a good Digikey number for a socket or plug which would fit these headers on the drives? I'd like to fab a plug on the end of my wire from the B.O.B., rather than solder right to the pins themselves. Also, Tero included a small bare board w/ each drive.. any idea what that is for? It looks like it's some form of a connection/interface board.. but I'm not sure what for.. Thanks guys..!

| Thanks Tero, that makes be feel better .. at least .... not like as much a dummy as I thought I was ![]() Gotta get a call into Digikey yet today.. just haven't had time spit let alone to sit down and order stuff. Btw, I've been thinking about just buying a through-hole connector w/ a 0.10" spacing and then soldering wires to the 'through-hole' pins. The putting a heat shrink tube around it all and over the end of the wire.. do you think that should work? Not like it's a item which gets pluged/un-pluged regularly.. Curious..

| Hey Larry. The only issue w/ the steppers is I have some issue w/ lost steps once in a while. W/ the Servo's I'll elliminate this issue. The dampening kinda got side tracked due to a couple other projects. I'm building a new Z axis instead..... long story.. the short answer was that the vibration issues were to do w/ the tool extensions and collets I was using.
