    encoder connection

Came the motor (3 phase ac servo) with broken-encoder.
Replaced by 5000 cpr incremental. - Servo (Granit Device - 160) at the slightest acceleration gives an error (encoder fault)
Dual-trace oscilloscope shows the full period of 4re sunus per revolution between any two phases.
How do I configure the encoder shaft with the shaft of the motor?
    thank you

AFAIK, Granite will use an incremental encoder for commutation, so it should not be necessary to align the encoder to commutation pulses if the encoder has them.
Do you get 5v TTL square wave pulses from the encoder for each channel?

    Yes, I get 5v TTL square wave pulses A+ B+ Z+ 5000cpr
I have a picture attached for increm encoder - does not make sense ?
    Thank You

Where is that reference signal coming from?

Like I said, I believe Granite does not need the marker or commutation pulses used on BLDC etc, it just uses the differential encoder signal to get a model of the motor and from then on uses the encoder as commutation.
This may be better in the Granite devices forum if you want it moved?

have you down loaded gdtool form the granite web sight? it will allow you to test the motor with the drive and tune the servo. the drive will sense the commutation requirements, and alignment of the encoder is not necessary unless you have hall effect signals on your encoder and want to use them.
