    Using Granite with EMC2

Is anybody using granite with EMC2?...

I have all the mechanical hardware for a good build and have hesitated buying controller hardware....

I have a 4 axis CNC running off of MACH3, set up and build in house using steppers.

Would rather run servos for a small lathe...will Granite work with EMC2...does anybody have specific build examples?

Forget the ethercat question for now.

The VSD drives (and VSDEPI breakout board) are designed to be directly compatible with EMC2 (at least in step/direction mode using parallel port, just like Mach3 does).

I hope users of EMC2 would post their experiences :-)
