wonderfull. You Make.
thanks it was a good project utilizing layers ,i used vcarve pro (aspire) to do the layout.
I'm anxious to do more designs
What did you do in the program
I scanned in the body diagram and the cavities diagram created a pdf file then dragged the diagram over the blank piece of wood and started working at the vectors ,cleaning them up the creating 6 tool paths for the different operations,(depth and cuts)did a few test runs and then that was it .That was 3-4hours work.
But once you have this then its just a matter of gluing up another blank.
Beautiful job bro! how easy is the Vector V Carve software to use ? I would love to start doing something like this well done keep the pictures coming
I bought aspire after xmas but still have not used it and i found that vcarve pro (also aspire ) is quite easy to adapt to projects ,takes a bit of messing around but it does the job ,us humans are whats hold it back.
I am really enjoying what i have done ,the most rewarding is when you take on a project right from the idea then get it in the software produce the code and then watch the machine cut it out, flawless after a few goes.
I even record it to show friends---have i made a fortune ,no not a cent but learning all the time
woodman ontario
drilled all the holes ,sanded both sides, then the edges a bit (cnc cuts smooth 1/2 carbide end mill) and its ready for shipping less than 2 hours total (excluding the wood prep blank)(including 3 tool changes)
Very interesting project ,i'm going to try a strat next
is that poplar? how do you glue it up and where do you get it?
thanks..nice project
from menonites 2x8's short pieces clamped using like veneer clamps to keep it straight, pipe clamps on the normal setup and matched the grain
