edge lit acrylic

I am looking for a supplier of edge lit acrylic. Various companies make different versions....cyro endlighten, Plexiglas ELiT, Plexiglas ELiT II amongst others. Every place I've looked has wanted me to take delivery of a pallet of 80x120" sheets, but I only need 50 sf or less. This is the acrylic that you light the edge of it (with cold cathode, flourescent or LED) and the light comes out the front evenly. Anyone have a supplier for UPS shippable sizes?

If you ask them, they will cut it to oversize blanks for you....say your finished part is 11 x 15, ask them to cut it to 11.75 x 15.75 for example. They will charge you for the cut. So figure out the required blank sizes and ask them pricing on your blanks. We o it all the time. Good luck!

McMaster-Carr is a great supplier. They deal with all sizes of orders from $1 to thousands. I know they carry acrylic.

I'm also trying to avoid buying 4 sheets of really expensive stuff. Ouch.

As far as I can tell, Mcmaster-carr doesn't carry *edge lit* acrylic. Its special stuff that a lot of places don't carry, with patented grooves and/or dots in it to radiate out the front evenly given edge illumination. I was hoping someone here had a secret supplier that would sell a small quantity.
