Actually you are looking at the wrong forumn for help with holes in glass. Check some of the aquarium formuns; Simplydiscus.com is good place to start in the Do It Yourself section. Drilling large holes in aquariums is a very popular subject and some sites have videos etc of how it's done. First, as has been mentioned, you can not drill tempered glass. It will shatter, guaranteed!!!
If it's not tempered the two techniques used are "diamond hole saws" available on ebay for $30. I have used these on many tanks with great success. Anothe method mentioned is diamond bits with a dremmel. Have tried but it didn't work to well for me. |
