Molding plastics at home?

Hi all,

How posible is it to mold plastic at home?

What I am doing is sort of a toy magazine for a custome toy gun, so the plastic material probaly needs to be high strength and could take the impact of being dropped on the ground/pavement or concrett.

Would it be easier for me to maybe go the route of fiber glass instead?

Thanks for any help , this is the first time I have thought about using plastics, instead of going aluminium .

composites will be much easier and cheaper for a hobby type of thing. There are also pourable resins, like polyurethane, which you could pour into a tool and get a "plastic" part out.
