Right now im using 1/8" and 1/4" thick extruded acrylic. But the stuff seems very hard to get a good smooth finish. Seems like you almost half to burn the plastic to get a good finish. So you half to cut very slow. I would like to be able to cut faster. So i am looking for a better type of plastic. Something that cuts easier. I have been using 1/8" Whiteside upcuts and also some 3/16" 3flute High helix HSS End Mill. So far my best results have been with the HSS End Mill. I also use a 1/16" Amana Carbide Router bit for engraving. |

| hi, i don't know what type of plastic ur cutting, but when i cut nylon or acetal/delrin i use high rpm, big finishing cut(3 - 4 mm), slow feed (0.1 mm/rev), flood coolant and a high positive rake tool with a 0.4mm nose radius. this gets my job done.
