    some info on various plastics

    Hi,
in short: here is some useful info on various plastics:

    properties and use:
    http://docs-europe.electrocomponents...6b801e48c4.pdf

    machining guide lines:
    http://docs-europe.electrocomponents...6b801d7dcc.pdf
Don't be fooled by the trade names, after the trade name there is an abbreviation of common material name

So here i share some info i found while i am researching what would be the cheapest strong plastic, black in color, uv resistant, water resistant/general weather resistent/ for a project of mine that includes making parts from 15mm sheet like 300x25mm bolted together. For the moment it seems that here in Spain the HDPE is the answer, its cheaper than the PP and the Nylon and the black one is UV and weather resistant.
Any ideas would be appreciated from where to buy 15mm sheets or even cheaper material, for the moment rs-online is the winner, though it is not so cheap selling 1000x500x15 for 60eur.
