Hello, I am a complete newbie when it comes to working with plastics and am not a machinist of any kind but would like some advice if you have it
I would like to build reptile cages out of 10mm pvc. Would I be able to make a wooden frame to clamp the pvc to and bend the pvc 90 degrees around the frame, heating the bend with a heat gun? Then clamp the newly bent corner to the frame and continue around until i make a box with 2 ends missing. What is the best yet cost effective method of joining the 2 edges and capping the ends with additional pieces?
Would it be best to join the edges in the top corner or bend a section down and join half way down the back with a strip over the join? ie the back of the cage is 24 inches high - bend the back so that there are 2 sections 12 inches high and join them in the center.
I would router out one side to allow for a plexiglass door.
All advice much apreciated.
