I did some UHMW machining in the past and had great luck. I ordered a new sheet and I can't get any decent results. The material does not cut off cleanly and leaves connected strings all over the place. I used a new Onsrud bit made for this material. I dug up piece from my last experience and it machines fine. The old stuff is stiffer, glossier and whiter. The new stuff is milky and gummier. Neither is labeled well enough to determine much. Searching found several varieties. Does anyone know type machines the best? |

| The second sounds like polypropylene. UHMW is a great wear resistant and machinable plastic so you shouldn't have that problem. Found some data sheets that might help.
