Cutting Shell

Hi,

I bought some MOP (Mother of Pearl) on EBay and was wondering if anyone has cut it and whats the best way to hold down such small pieces?

Glue them with white glue or hide glue to a scrap piece of wood. and once you've done the cut out, soak the wood in water to get the glue to relase. (don't use thick pieces of wood.)
