    Drilling Acrylic

I a bit of a noob and am trying to drill holes in a stack of 0.093" acrylic. With my manual mill, I find that once the tip of the drill bit is down into the acrylic fully, that I can speed up the feed rate. So, my question is how can I replicate that in GCode for my CNC mill? I've tried peck drilling, but that seems to waste a bunch of time. I just want to start slow and then pickup speed once I get to a certain depth.

Tap plastics sells a plastic drill. Has the cutting edge of the drill ground flatter. Makes a big difference. Does your CNC have a deep hole cycle? Those can be modified sometimes, or you will need to write a macro with the feed rate changes.

I'm using drill bits designed for drilling acrylic. My CNC machine is a small bench top unit (Zenbot) that I use Mach 3 to control.
