    Default Good Polycarb finishes

Anyone have any good recommendations for milling polycarb for a good finish. I'll be milling out a .250 deep window in a .375 thick piece of clear polycarb. I'll volume mill out the window leaving a few thou on z to run a clean up pass with a .250 downward spiral 2 flute endmill at maybe 6000 with like a .200 cut width. So there will be some tool paths left in the part. I know heat helps so maybe hit it with a torch for a second i don't know. Maybe spin it as fast as I can? 8000, largest endmill possible?

If you go really fast ... you will melt the plastic and have a LARGE mess.
Really sharp new cutters at a moderate speed, followed by polishing.

    Cheers
