| I've toolpathed a hole with the part origin at a bottom corner. Postprocessed it through Fanuc 6M Fairway...this gives me a G54 work coordinate...running through Mach 3, I set the Z0 for the table top...right where the origin of the part would be... I start the machine up at the G54 zeros, run the code...which tells the machine to move to it's G54 position first...but that is at the top of the table causing the cutter to move into the side of the part first, then z above the part...i want it to be above the part first, then move it's x,y ...then z down above part and into it....i'm used to running Fadal machines using E1 and so on... % O1 G0 G20 G17 G40 G49 G80 G90 N1 G0 G54 X0.061 Y-0.075 (TOOL 1) (OPERATION 1) S1000 M3 G43 H1 Z0.35 / M9 G1 Z0.24 F5.0 X0.0664 and so on... Should i just move the origin in Gibbscam 2009 (thats the cam program I'm using) to the top corner?...or is there a better postprocessor i can use that I will understand better? Maybe i'm in the wrong forum |
