i am wondering if it is possible to convert a rendered toolpath that has been saved as an STL back into a solid so that it could be used as material for the next op? thanx for looking |

| Yes, if you use Flash CPR. After rendering,you can make a facet body or save an STL. You can them flip it, translate it or whatever into the position you need for stock on your next op. Then RMC and select "show properties", "Stock-display only". Bill |

| bbern After I did the rendering part, I clicked on blue ribbon of CPR and saved the "solid" as STL. Here cames my problem... When I open the new STL file in order to extract geometry for my stock material, the solid seems to be not solid at all. It is semi-transparent and I can't do anything with it. At what were you referring "Then RMC and select "show properties", "Stock-display only".? I would appreciate if you can guide me through all steps. Thank you |
