Problems import 3D

Hello to all.
I am devoted to secondary education in mechanization in Spain and I have two doubts about Gibbs 2002 v6.11 that would thank to solve in this forum.
The first doubt is how to work after caring a solid (I work with SolidEdge v12 and Catia v5). I try to recover revolution solids 3D and I are able to care the solid in format IGES or PAR indistinctly, but the problem resides in that don't know how to obtain the profile to be able to mechanize later. I am only able to obtain some circumferences that represent the different diameters of the piece, but not the profile generatriz.
The second doubt is about a problem it has more than enough milling, seemingly simple. When I try to draw in plant two surfaces at different level in axis Z but coincident in some edge, the program clips and it connects the profiles automatically as if they are in the same plane and to the same height in Z. A professional has commented me as solution sunite this profiles to separate them when drawing them 0,001 millimeters, but I don't find a good solution. I had thought of working in different layers or in assigning the different profiles in levels different Z, but I don't know if that is possible or how it should be made.
