I’m trying to create a Posthaste post for a Siemens 810L (lathe) control. I have 2 questions. Posthaste doesn’t seem to recognize drilling. Not only will it no put out Canned (G81, or G84), but it won’t even write it long hand. All I get is one line after the tool change (which I finally got right) which contains just: G0 X0 Z0. No correct feed point, no feed no depth. In posthaste I have their line for drill cycle: Drill G81 X[H] Z[D] R[VClear] F[FRate] End cancel FWIW Siemens uses D for the tool offset. I don’t know if this is a problem. Question 2, Siemens calls subroutines with the letter L. As in L97 for threading with R20-R32 as the thread parameters. Anyone have any idea how I write this into Post Haste? Thanks. Peter- |

Hi, Microdot - (Replying to your 'PostHaste drilling woes' message of 11/12/2007) There was a bug in one release of PostHaste that prevented output of LATHE drilling ... We have a copy of the corrected one (Posthaste.DLL) that works properly. If you CALL ME (805-583-3460), I'll be glad to send it to you. (I'll help you sort out the subs / threading issues too.) Cheers - Paul |
